Snespurven - (1915-1917)

"Snespurven"
VPC bought even a sailing ship in 1916. It was a steel bargue at 231 feet and 2,500 gross tons. The ship was built by
Napier and Miller in Glasgow in 1907. The vessel's original name was "RENDOVA" . When the ship arrived in
Norway got the name "Snespurven " . It had built tanks and captain named Eskil Blomquist . 1907 went "RENDOVA"
and 1916 "Snespurven" in Atlantic route and transported petroleum.
She was sunk by a German submarine with gunfire by Tuskar Rock in the Irish Sea, on 2 April 1917.
All on board were rescued .
