M/T Haakon Hauan NS, A/S Østlandske Petroleums Compagni, Oslo. 6582 gt. Built in Oslo 1935.
In Oct.-1941 Haakon Hauan was in Convoy HX 153 along with the Norwegian Katy, Temeraire, Sveve, Ferncastle, Bonneville,
Lista, Santos as well as an unnamed Norwegian tanker.

She was also in Convoy HX 163 (departed Halifax on Dec. 3-1941) together with the Norwegian Andrea Brøvig, Ringstad,
Harpefjell, Høegh Giant, Ørnefjell, Ranja, Pan Aruba, and Thorshøvdi.
In Apr.-1942 she can be found among the ships in Convoy HX 183. Several Norwegian ships took part.
Captain K. Johannesen. Torpedoed by U-753 (von Mannstein) on May 25-1942 on a voyage in ballast from Norfolk to Galveston
and damaged, 28 45N 90 03W (off the Mississippi inlet). She was taken to New Orleans, then towed to Mobile where
she stayed for 3 months for repairs.
She can be found listed in Convoy ON 162 in Jan.-1943 along with a number of other Norwegian vessels.
In Apr.-1944 Haakon Hauan was in Convoy ON 231 along with 14 other Norwegian ships, namely Bernhard, Østhav, Ferncourt,
Spinanger, Vav, Solstad, Idefjord, President de Vogue, Heranger, Kong Haakon VII, Thorsholm, Skaraas, Høyanger and Nordanger,
 The convoy consisted of 89 ships and departed Liverpool on Apr. 7, arriving New York on the 24th.
POST WAR:
Owners later renamed A/S Norske Esso, Oslo. Sold January 1960 to British Iron & Steel Corporation and allocated
to Thomas W. Ward Ltd. for breaking up. Arrived at Inverkeithing, Scotland, March 6-1960, to be broken up.
