Opm : 28.8.1942: tijdens de reis van Curacao naar de UK op 120 mijl ten oosten van Jamaica getorpedeerd
door de Duitse Onderzeeboot ”U 511” met 12000 ton geraffineerde brandstof (10 bemanningsleden omgekomen.)
Remarks : The Dutch tanker Rotterdam was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-511 on August 28th,
1942, 120 miles E. of Jamaica on a voyage from Curacao to the U.K. with 12,000 tons of refined spirit.
Ten of her crew were killed.
