When the website was first set up in 2003, I decided that it would be free-to-access and that costs when they occurred would be absorbed by me. My aim was to make many years of work freely available, and making money from it, was never my purpose. The website has always been a one-man operation, and unfortunately expenses have increased significantly, and in the longer term it is no longer feasible to absorb costs.
