Built as the "Mobil 2" by Southern Shipbuilding of Slidell, Louisiana in 1973 for the Mobil Oil Corp she is rated at 3,000
horsepower.
She was renamed the "Tachee" when the oil companies sought to remove their name from vessels that could potentially
have incidents. When she was renamed the "Tachee", an upper wheelhouse was added. After Mobil merged with Exxon to
form Sea River Maritime, the "Tachee" was renamed the "S/R Albany".
When Sea River was dissolved the "S/R Albany" was acquired by K-Sea Transportation Partners and was renamed the
"Baltic Sea".
She is assigned to K-Sea's Atlantic Division.

2011 The Baltic Sea (ex Mobil 2, ex Tahchee, ex S/R Albany) has since been sold to an African buyer and renamed
Ugonwaafor 1 and hails out of Lagos Nigeria, later renamed as Ugonwaafor. Still in service.

S/R ALBANY
Built in 1973, by Southern Shipbuilding of Slidell, Louisiana (hull #105) as the Mobil 2 for the Mobil Oil Corporation of Farifax, Virgnia.
In 1992, she tug was renamed as the Tachee at some point around that time an upper wheelhouse was added.
In 2000, when Mobil Oil merged with Exxon to form Sea River Maritime, the Tachee was renamed the S/R Albany.
In 2001, when Sea River Maritime was dissolved the S/R Albany was acquired by K-Sea Transportation of Staten Island, New York where she was renamed as the Baltic Sea.
In 2010, the tug was acquired by Pheranzy Gas LTD of Nigeria, Africa where she was renamed as the Ugonwaafor 1.
Powered by two EMD 12-645-E2 diesel engines, with Lufkin RS 2524 reduction gears at a ratio of 4.973:1. She is a twin screw tug rated at 3,000 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two 75 KW Delco/DD 4-71 75kW generators. The tug as a fuel oil capacity of 48,538 gallons. The tug's towing gear consists of a Intercon SD 175 single drum towing winch outfitted with 1,800(ft) of 1.75(in) towing wire, driven by a single DD 6-71 Hydraulic engine.
