S/R Angel Island - (2002-2012)

S/R ANGEL ISLAND
Built in 1996, by Trinity Marine Group of Lockport, Louisiana (hull #4168) as the Kinsman Eagle II for Bay Transportation Corporation of Tampa, Florida.
The Bay Transportation Corporation was eventually acquired by Seabulk Towing of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Where the tug was renamed as the Eagle II.
She was then acquired by SeaRiver Maritime of New York, New York. Where she was renamed as the S/R Angel Island.
In 2007, SeaRiver Maritime was acquired by Crowley Marine Services of San Francisco, California. Where the tug was renamed as the Resolute.
The tug was eventually acquired by Coos Bay Towboat of Coos Bay, Oregon. Where the tug was renamed as the Oregon Escort. Coos Bay Towboat later renamed the tug as the George W.
Powered by two Wärtsilä diesel engines with a pair of stern mounted Aquamaster azmuthing "z drives" for a rated 6,700 horsepower.
