Esso Knoxville - (1946-1959)
Build in 1944 as "Blackstocks Ford", by Sun S.B. & Dry Dock Co., Chester, Pa., she became in 1946 "Esso Knoxville".
Transferred in 1947 to Panama Transport Co., Panam. Sold in 1959 as "Transoceanica", to Peru.
Scrapped Kaohsiung, June 1962.

Two newly-installed liquefied petroleum gos tanks are shown an the foredeck of the Peruvian·flag
TRANSOCEANICA, bareboot chartered to International Petroleum Company, Limited. Fabricated
by Bethlehem Steel Company in Beaumont, Texas, the tanks have a total LPG capacity of 3,340
barrels. The TRANSOCEANICA (ex. ESSO KNOXVILLE) carries refined products and LPG
between Talara ond Calläo, Peru.
