Esso Maine (1) - (1955-1968)
"Esso Maine (1)".
She was built in Port Arthur, Texas in 1951, as the tug "Esso Tug No. 10". She was later renamed the "Esso Maine".
She was acquired by McAllister Towing and Transportation renamed her as the "Justine McAllister".
She was renamed "The Privateer".
However, when she was retired from service McAllister donated her to the State University of New York's Maritime College
at Fort Schuyler. The intention was to utilize her as a training tug. The program never began and the tug was sold, over the
next two years she was stripped apart.
She was eventually sent to be scrapped.
