McDougall - ( ?? -1948)
"McDougall", a screw towboat, was build in 1900 by St. Louis, Missouri at the St. Louis Steel Barge Company.
Her hull was pointed at both ends and the bottom was flat. The builder, Mr. McDougall, had the idea of a
towboat line on the Mississippi with tugs towing their barges hawser style or behind but a trial run in the
St. Louis harbor was a failure.
The "McDougall" eventually became part of the fleet of Standard Oil of Louisiana in ??.
Dismantled in 1948
