M/T AMSTERDAM SOCONY
Built in 1924, by Sun Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company of Chester, Pennsylvania (hull #74) as the
Amsterdam  Socony for Standard Oil of New York, New York.
Her keel was laid on the 5th of December 1923, she was launched on the 5th of April 1924 and she was
delivered on the 26th of April 1924.
In 1950, she was acquired by Reinauer Transportation Companies of Staten Island, New York. Where she
was renamed as the JoAnne Reinauer.
In 1956, the unit was acquired by Poling Bros. where she was renamed as the Poling Bros. No. 8.
In 1996, when she was phased out of service, and was laid up at Mariner's Harbor Staten Island, New York.
She was scrapped sometime after the year 2000.
