MOBIL 10
Built in 1948, by Gulfport Shipbuilding of Port Arthur, Texas (hull #335) as the Socony 10 for the Socony Vacum Oil
Company of New York, New York.
In 1955, Socony Vacuum became Socony Mobil Oil Company. And in 1966 the company became the Mobil Oil Corporation.
Where the tug was renamed as the Mobil 10.
In 1974, the tug was acquired by McAllister Towing of New York, New York where she was renamed as the Alexandra McAllister.
The tug was scrapped in 1999.
