The tanker Port Royal was built by Sun Ship under the U.S. Maritime Commission contract as a T2-SE-A1 tanker in May 1944, and went to the Imperial Oil Shipping Company as the Imperial Quebec in 1947. She collided with the Esso Wheeling off Rio Bravo on March 25, 1948, and after temporary repairs in South America she received extensive repairs at Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock. Imperial Quebec was sold to Ditta Luigi Pittaluga Vapori, Genoa, in 1954, becoming the Verbania, and was sold to Achille Lauro fu Gioacchino, Naples, in 1961. She was scrapped at La Spezia in 1966.
