Delivered 28 ferbruary 1976 as T/T "Beaumont" to Bjørn Biørnstad & Co, Moss, Norway. The last ship in a series
of 11 from this yard, Stord Verft/ Aker Stord Verft, Norway. The shipowner also had 2 other tankers from the
same yard, sister ship T/T "Baurivage" and the 219 000 dwt T/T "Baumaris". "Beaumont" sailed directly from the
yard to Moss and was layd up with her "sisters". In october 1978 she left Norway for the first cargo from Persian
Gulf. In april 1981 she was layd up again, in Holmestrand, Norway, and sold to Bergesen/The Norwegian gover-
ment and renamed "Berge Beaumont". In march 1982 sold to Bergesen and renamed "Berge Chief". In june
1986, 10 1/2 years after she was buildt and with only 2 1/2 years in service, she left the fjord in Holmestrand to
start her life on the seven seas.
Her sister ship, T/T "Beaurivage", was delivered in may 1975 and sailed also directly from the yard to Moss, and
was layd up. In july 1979 she was sailing for P.G and her first cargo. She was then layd up in Lisboa in june
1980, and sold in 1981 to Bergesen/The norwegian goverment, renamed "Berge Beaurivage" and sailed to Hol-
mestrand to join her "sister". In 1982 renamed "Berge Pilot". In may 1985 she was sold to Single Buoy Mooring
Ltd, London, renamed FPSO VI, Panama flag, and sailed to Cadiz, Spain for rebuilding. In february 1986, she
started her new life as a "FPSO", 11 years after the birth and with only a small year sailing as an oiltanker.
She is now upgrated and rebuildt, renamed "Espadarte FPSO" and in service in Brazil from 2000-2013. History:
