The "LNG AQUARIUS", the first 125,000 cubic meter liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker to be completed in the U. S., underway during recent sea trials. The 936-foot Long, 95,000 ton tanker was officially named during ceremonies at General Dynamics Quincy, Mass., shipyard on, May 27th, 1977. The U.S. flag tanker, one of twelve currently under contract at the Quincy shipyard, will be used to transport LNG from Indonesia to Japan.
