Kuwaiti tanker AL REKKAH, renamed BRIDGETON, shown Saturday July 18 1987, after it was repainted and registrated under U.S. Company Chesapeake. The tanker is anchored off Khor Fakkan awaiting orders to fly the U.S. flag and enjoy American warship protection. The photo was released by the newspaper Al Ittihad.

Dubai, in the gulf of Oman. August 5, 1990.
The United States registered oil tanker Bridgeton lies at anchor in the Gulf of Oman off the coast from Furjairah in the United Arab Emeirates August 5th. Bridgeton who was empty of oil, was one of Kuwaiti registered tankers that converted registration to avoid conflict in the Gulf was of 1987.
