I had head that some of my more immediate ancestors had a great deal to do with the Sun Shipyard so I did a little “google search” to see what I could come up with. I was amazed when I saw the launch pictures. The sponsor, Mrs. Neil L Jamieson was one of my father’s great aunts. The last picture of the group had many relatives of mine. My aunt is in the last row, far left. Her name was Mary I Mott. My great grandmother, Neil L Jamieson’s sister, is in the 2nd row, far left. Her name was Flora Jamieson Beek. She was a sister to Neil L Jamieson. The children in the picture are grandchildren to Mrs. N. L. Jamieson. Thank you for posting this. It makes for a nice conversation piece for my family for sure!
