Reported Sackett’s Harbor broke in two 1 Mar, 1946, 800 miles south west from Adak, whilst on voyage from Yokosuka to Balboa in ballast. Bow section sunk by gunfire, afterpart towed to Adak, 12 March, sold and used as electrical station at Anchorage, re-sold 1956
Reported Angelo Petri rebuilt 1957 with new forward half by Bethlehem Pacific Coast Steel Corp., (SB Div), San Francico, fitted for carriage of wine in center tanks and other products in wing tanks,
