STEP 4 - The forward section of the SANTA HELENA is brought into drydock to be attached tn the stern of the TRUSTCO.
The after part of the SANTA HELENA is left in the drydock.

STERN EXCHANGE - The no. 2 drydock at the Bethlehem Steel Corp. Key Highway shipyard was busy yesterday,
with the SS TRUSTCO, whose stern is at right, and the stern section of the SANTA HELENA high and dry at the same time.
The sterns of the two ships are being switched by the shipyard fot the Marine Carriers Corporation, a New York Concern.

STEP 5 - Thestern of the TRUSTCO and the forward part of the SANTA HELENA are joined to form a different ship
which is leaving the drydock. This ship is the new OBSERVER, and carries the American flag.
The after part of the SANTA HELENA is left in the drydock.
