Commission contract (MC hull 2639) at Todd Shipbuilding, Houston, TX.
Launched, 15 March 1945
Delivered to the Maritime Commission, 12 September 1945, for operation under contract as a merchant tanker,
renamed Belridge
Acquired by the US Navy, 14 August 1950
Placed in service by the Military Sea Transportation Service (MSTS) as USNS Nodaway (T-AOG-78),
11 September 1950
Placed out of service and delivered to the Maritime Administration (MARAD) at Mobile, AL., 11 December 1959,
for temporary custody in full lay-up status
Re-acquired by the US Navy and placed in service in August 1965 as USNS Nodaway T-AOG-78)
Assigned to the MSC Ready Reserve Force (RRF) in October 1995, custody remains with MARAD,
berthed at Tsuneishi, Japan
