Distribution tanker, built in 1911 by J.T. Eltringham & Co., Willington, Newcastle, as "Holzapfel I",
for Steam Traders Ltd. and fitted with an experimental gas engine.
Measurements: 126 Feet length X 22 Feet breadth

1913 Re-engined C2Cyl-Aft.
1920 Sold to Anglo as "Luffworth".
1934 Sold to W.A. Andow & Co., Ltd., Newcastle.
1935 sold to Sea & Land Securities Ltd.
1938 Sold to Fellows S.S. Co., Ltd., Liverpool.
16.06.1940 Scuttled at Brest. Taken in prize by enemy.
Refloated by the Germans on 31.08.1940, the ship was purchased by Ed. Halm & Company, Hamburg,
who intended to repair her at Bordeaux. Work was not commenced and she was scuttled again, at
Rochester in 09.1944. Refloated in 05.1949 and 10.1950; sold for scrap.
