U-558 attacked from the starboard quarter, so it's probable that she hit the ships in pos. 103 and 104, and possibly "Rym" in pos. 58. Unclearified is the hit, which was reported, after the first torpedo had missed the intended target. But the detonation heard after a running time of 4:47 min may have been a misinterpretation of a single depth charge dropped by USS "Plunkett" at that time.
