On Board Photos - Part-1
"Mobil Astral", (GMOH), Radio Room.
This is what happens during long, long, boring trips.

"Mobil Endurance", (GHXJ), photographed at anchor off Puerto Cabello, Venezuela in March 1966, endeavouring to communicate with
the coast station via the Lifeboat radio. Can't remember if we succeeded or not. The 2nd Mate is twiddling the knobs, I'm doing the hard part.

"Mobil Endurance", Lifeboat Radio Test,
Photographed April 1966 testing second lifeboat transceiver passing Gibraltar. Just managed to contact ZDK, but we were close
enough to wave at them at the time.
This time, no sweat, got a seaman to do the winding. 2nd Mate L.P. Jones assists.

"Mobil Acme", Radio Room.
A 'State of the Art' Shack circa 1968 .........
AEI equipment Transmitters T50M ''MF'' and T50H ''HF'' Two receivers, not sure now but think type 'R11', and recall the need to
hold on to the dial while receiving on HF bands due to frequency drift. All great fun, especially when receiving cargo orders via
KPH/WCC.
