The first "Mobil Aladdin", was build as "Sovac Aladdin" in 1949, seen here at New York.

17,600 GRT, 27,006 DWT, first owner was Tankers Navigation Co. Inc., build by Sun SB & DD Co.,

Chester. Pa., 2 Steam turbines DR geared on a single screwshaft.

Renamed in 1955 as "Mobil Aladdin".

Mobil Aladdin, ex. Sovac Aladdin-1955

LOA 628 ' Beam 82 ' 8 " Draught 32 ' 5 " 27,010 SDWT

Built 1949 by Sun Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Company, Chester, Pennsylvania, then - as Sovac Aladdin -

put on a 15-year bareboat charter to Mobil. Powered by a De Laval turbine which developed 12,500 HP.

She was redelivered to her owners - Tankers Navigation Company - in 1965 and renamed World Monarch.

She was converted to a bulk carrier in 1966 and strengthened for heavy cargoes: her LOA was

increased to 631'6" and SDWT to 32,289. She became Dianna in 1972.

Broken up in 1978.
