Mobil Raven
LOA 1 067' Beam 155‘ Draught 15.5 m ex BERGEMASTER 1976 212,759 SDWT ex MARTICIA 1976
Built 1970 by Nederland Dok and Schips, Amsterdam, Holland. As the vessel was too large for the shipyard and locks, she was built in two sections and then joined together while a?oat. Although this has been done many times since, at the time it was considered to be very innovative and generated a lot of interest throughout the marine industry....
The vessel was powered by a Stal-Laval AP turbine unit which incorporated an epicyclic gear box developing 28,000HP.
She was delivered to Mobil Overseas Shipping Company in July 1976 and time chartered to Petrofina in August 1976. In 1977 she was sold to Arabian International Maritime Company and renained AL QUASIM.
Scrapped in 1983.
