Socony-Vacuum: Daylight was completed by Sun Shipbuilding, at Chester, in June 1931.
She is pictured here in September 1942 in wartime livery and armed fore and aft. In 1947 she
was sold within the US and renamed Scabird, at first under US flag, later transferring to Panama.
She was broken up in 1961-62.
