Royal Arrow (II) - (1954-1969)
The second "Royal Arrow", 31,165 dwt - British flag, owned by Mobil Shipping Co. Ltd., and build in 1954by Nederlandse Droogdok & Scheepsbouw Mij., Amsterdam. Sold in 1969 as "Jayana". Sold in 1972
as "Arcadia". Sold in 1973 as "Parakopi". Scrapped in 1975 at Castellon 14.04.1975.

Built in 1953 by Netherlands Dock and Shipbuilding Company, Amsterdam, Holland, for Rispond Tankers of Edinburgh,
she was bought "on the stocks" by Mobil and operated by Mobil Shipping Company Limited, London.
The vessel was powered by a Pametrada turbine which developed 13,750 HP.
"Royal Arrow" was built for an Edinburgh company and was very approprialely named: the Honourable Company of Archers
are the Queen's bodyguards in Scotland. Just before her maiden voyage, the Cmpany presented the vessel with a cermonial
arrow in a glass case.
An unusual feature of this vessel and "Sylvan Arrow" was that the main deck plating was lapped the wrong way, which
prevented water clearing and created considerable maintenance problems. The vessel was sold to Jayana on September
1969 and renamed "Jayana". She became "Arcadia" in 1972 and "Parakopi" in 1973.
She was finally broken up in 1976.
