"Mobil Libya" was build in 1965, sold as "Kavo Spathi", scrapped in 1982.

Mobil Libya

Built 1965 by IHI, Aioi, Japan, powered by a General Electric turbine. An all aft tanker, MOBIL LIBYA was delivered to Mobil Car-

rier Limited, London in November 1965. This vessel - built without bilge keels - is sister ship to ATHOS and MOBIL JAPAN.

They had flume stabilisation systems: both cargo and ballast systems had a tank across common at 12'-20' ullage. The openings

permitted a restricted flow of water or cargo from tank to tank as the ship rolled and this movement served to dampen the roll.

The same system was later installed in the jumboised MOBIL ASTRAL and MOBIL DAYLIGHT.

Dold in 1977 as "Kavo Spathi" and scrapped in 1982.
