Built 1967 by Hitachi Zosen kk, Osaka, Japan. Powered by a Hitachi B&W 984 VT2 BF engine developing 20,600HP.
As ALBILAD she became part of the Interocean joint-venture fleet; she was operated by Mobil Reederei as MOBILWESER.
In 1979, during emergency repairs at anchor off Trinidad, MOBILWESER gave assistance to a broken down fishing boat
with one person on board. The engineers gave assistance with the engine and th chief officer gave medical assistance
to the fisherman, who had a badly cut hand and was suffering trom exhaustion. It later transpired that the fishing boat
had started out with a three-man crew, and that a fight had started during which the other two men were stabbed
to death; the crew had given assistance to the survivor. The police and coastguard arrived on MOBILWESER.
They confiscated the fishing boat and the survivor was arrested for murder.
Renamed JEVERLAND
January 1983, she was sold in April 1984 to Blue Island Navigation Company and was renamed FILOTHEI.
Sold in 1991 as THEO, she was scrapped at at Chittagong 28.02.1991.
